The passing year, 2021, has been tough for many and sleek for some. It wouldn’t be nice to tag the unsuccessful ones lazy.

The effects of the COVID 19 held down the financial buoyancy of many families, especially the ones living in Africa and North America.

Therefore, I come today with 9 things that will make you successful in 2022.

  1. START AN EXERCISE PLAN

It is proven that not getting enough physical activity can lead to heart disease—even for people who have no other risk factors. It can also increase the likelihood of developing other heart disease risk factors, including obesity, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes.

It is one with great health that can make wealth!

You can start with: -

  • Swimming.

  • Tai chi. This Chinese martial art that combines movement and relaxation is good for both body and mind.

  • Push-Ups of 10 in 5 rounds

  • Walking distances with a pace of about 3 miles per hour (or about 120 steps per minute).

  • Kegel exercises.

  • Meditation

  1. BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR

An entrepreneur is someone who identifies a problem in his neighbourhood or the world (based on contemporary issues) and solves the problem thereby earning a living. This sure comes with a lot of risks and immeasurable profits.

A side hustle will earn you more money than relying on a 7 - 6 career of which the employer might pay you less than you should earn. Your side hustle can grow so well that you will quit your job and focus on it properly.

  1. MIGRATE YOUR BUSINESS TO THE CLOUD

Many businesses thrived during the Lockdown via email marketing, online presence to mention but a few. It wasn’t so easy for businesses that relied on physical presence and rendered physical services to thrive at that time. That draws the necessity to migrate every business ranging from Fashion design, a home essentials store, logistics store, to laundry service, to the internet.

  1. EAT HEALTHY

To remain healthy you must: -

  • Eat a variety of vegetables, especially dark green, red, and orange vegetables (3 or more servings a day).

  • Eat a variety of fruits (2 or more servings a day).

  • Eat whole-grain, high-fiber breads and cereals (3 to 6 servings a day). Reduce or eliminate refined or processed carbohydrates; most of the grains in your diet should be whole grains.

  • Drink fat-free or low-fat milk and eat low-fat dairy products.

  • Choose from a variety of low-fat sources of protein — including eggs, beans, poultry without skin, seafood, lean meats, unsalted nuts, seeds, and soy products. If you eat meat, eat white meat at least four times more often than red meat.

  • Reduce intake of saturated fats and trans-fats (such as partially hydrogenated oil) as much as possible.

  • Use vegetable oils (like olive or canola oil) instead of solid fats.

  • Reduce daily intake of salt or sodium. Reduce to less than 1,500 mg. per day if you are older than 50, or have hypertension, diabetes or chronic kidney disease.

  • Restrict or eliminate "junk food" — foods that contain refined white flour, solid fats or trans fats, added sugars, and are high in sodium.

  • Restrict or eliminate sodas and other sugar-added drinks that are high in calories and contain few or no nutrients.

  • If you drink alcoholic beverages, do so in moderation. Drink only when it doesn't put you or anyone else at risk.

  1. SET SPECIFIC AND ACHIEVABLE GOALS

On 1st January 2022, people will make new year’s resolutions and set outrageous goals that they have no clue on how to achieve. It is very wise to set goals, it makes you a serious individual but the good thing remains setting goals that you have a proper algorithm or flowchart of how you wish to achieve it. How to set goals in 7 steps: -

  • Think about the results you want to see. Before you set a goal, take a closer look at what you're trying to achieve and ask yourself some personal and financial questions.

  • Create SMART goals. SMART in setting Goals simply stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely.

  •  Write your goals down.

  • Create an action plan.

  • Create a timeline.

  • Take action.

  • Re-evaluate and assess your progress.

  1. APPRECIATE PEOPLE WHO ARE VALUABLE TO YOU

Some people add value to your existence whether financially, emotionally, educationally and otherwise, those individuals deserve to be appreciated. An Igbo adage says “appreciate a pottage beans maker and she will prepare another one”. It simply means that your benefactor, parents, siblings, helper, teacher, spouse, colleague, religious leader, that friend that is always there deserves a “thank you” whenever they lend a helping hand. Adieu isn’t better.

  1. DONATE & VOLUNTEER FOR VALUABLE ACTIVITIES

As more ways to be appreciative and return to society, you do not need to be a politician, a wealthy industrialist or a boss in civil service to donate your quota or volunteer for valuable activities such as: -

  • Befriending/Mentoring younger inexperienced ones.

  • Administrative/Office Work for a club or orphanage home.

  • Arts (Music/Drama/Crafts) ...

  • Teaching/Tutoring/Supporting Learning.

  • Counseling/Listening to depressed individuals

  • Youth Work like community service is helpful.

  • Events and Stewarding.

  1. DRESSED TO KILL

Yes, I said what  I said.

If someone is dressed to kill, they are wearing very smart or fashionable clothes because they want people to notice them and think they are attractive.

You are addressed the way you dress. You need to dress appropriately for every event. Imagine wearing sports kits for a movie premiere, you'll surely be the trending individual but for the wrong reason. A cute tuxedo  for the male will do, a stylish dinner gown will be perfect for a dinner party/ date.

  1. BE THANKFUL AFTER EACH DAY

Famous writers and individuals possess the act of gratitude and have affirmed how helpful it has been to them.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”

—Oprah Winfrey

. “Reflect upon your present blessings—of which every man has many—not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”

—Charles Dickens

“When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.”

—Anthony Robbins

CONCLUSION

Studies show that it takes 66 days of consistency to master an attitude, that's about 2 months and some days. It means that you must determine to quit that addiction, start that business, complete that online professional course, and be a better person before you can start the hectic journey. If you believe it, you can achieve it!
